In celebration of Pico Rivera’s 60th Anniversary, the City hosted a Diamond Jubilee Parade on June 30th, 2018. The parade featured some familiar residents and City leaders from the community, as well as special guest appearances by sports and television celebrities such as former Los Angeles Dodger, Manny Mota, and NBC4’s Traffic Anchor Alysha Del Valle. The theme of the parade was “Patriotic” to honor and thank those in the military for their service.

Over a thousand Pico Rivera residents lined the parade route, stretching 1.3-miles along Passons Blvd. to El Rancho High School, to see the various parade participants including marching bands, equestrian groups, car clubs, dance troupes, and even the 501st Legion, an Imperial Star Wars costuming organization comprised entirely of volunteers. Overall, a big day for the City of Pico Rivera and its residents as 60th Anniversary celebrations continue this year!
